Dr. McGregor is a graduate of McGill University, Faculty of Dentistry, 1974
As the Owner and Clinical Director of Lyndhurst Dental Centre since 1974, Dr. McGregor manages a very well qualified and dedicated Team of Associate Dentist, Registered Hygienists, Level II Assistants and Administrative Assistants.
This Team’s goal is to provide every patient of Lyndhurst Dental Centre with exceptional quality of care in a compassionate and gentle manner. Continuing Education is provided in-house to our Team and they also attend courses and seminars to broaden their scope and stay up to date. Dr. McGregor has accumulated over 4000 hours of continuing education in her quest to stay abreast of the latest techniques and research.
She has been active in leadership roles, most notably being a Founder of the Canadian Chapter of Craniofacial Pain, serving as Secretary, President and Past President.
Dr. McGregor’s professional affiliations include: American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Canadian Sleep Society, International Association for Orthodontics, Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association and TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centres International.
In addition to Lyndhurst Dental Centre, Dr. McGregor is also the Owner and Clinical Director of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Eastern Ontario, one of more than 40 International Centres following the protocol of Dr. Steven Olmos of San Diego, California. Patients of Lyndhurst Dental receive a complimentary screening for jaw joint problems, headache and sleep disordered breathing from the TMJ Centre.
Dr. McGregor has published several articles in professional and lay literature and was a co-author of the Position Paper “Regarding the Role of Different Health Care Professionals in Managing Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring with Oral Appliances”. This position paper was subsequently published in 2014 by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and has been utilized as a Guideline for the standard of care.
An additional published Position Paper of which Dr. McGregor was co-author lays out guidelines for the use of Portable Monitoring for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
It has also been an honor for Dr. McGregor to be the invited guest speaker for many professional and lay groups on a variety of topics.
Dr. Firouzi completed his dental degree in Iran at the Kerman University of Medical Science in 1998.
Upon his arrival in Canada Dr. Firouzi enrolled in the International Trained Dentists Program at the University of Western Ontario. During this two year program he received the Gerald Z. Wright Award for the highest academic and clinical standing.
After graduating in 2006 Dr. Firouzi practiced in Northern Ontario for a year then moved to Kingston. He has been a member of our team since 2012.
Dr. Firouzi has returned several services to our practice including root canal therapy and oral surgery. He has completed advanced training in the placement of dental implants and implant supported dentures.
Dr. Firouzi, his wife and two sons enjoy living in the Limestone City and embrace all it has to offer.
Jasmine is our Clinical Coordinator and a former graduate of the Kingston Learning Centre. She is our Clinical Director. Her passion for excellence ensures our patients leave with smiles on their faces. She has completed additional training and helps manage patients participating in our Myobrace program. She is a new resident to Westport and enjoys spending time with her dog, Colby.
Jasmine is a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association.
Doug is our Mr. Fix It. He has been keeping our office in tip top running order for over twenty years. Doug also takes care of outdoor maintenance and is handy with his tractor for snow removal or bringing in firewood for our outdoor boiler furnace or lawn care.
He quickly gets us back up and running if we have an unexpected equipment glitch.
With our emergency backup generator and Doug to call on, we have the tools we need to take care of our patients' needs.
